Handmade Knives In A Shop Behind A house

Hunter in camouflage holding a harvested antlered deer in a pine forest

My name is Steele, and I started making knives because I wanted to make good knives to skin and process the deer I killed. I have used everything from cheap knives to the top of the line and there was clearly a difference in sharpness and edge retention. I made it a mission to make something that could compete with the best.

When I first started, I made a lot of bad knives that my friends bought anyway. Through the process, I ended up getting pretty good at it. The same guys (and my mom) who bought all my bad knives made it possible for me to start making some pretty good ones. From banging out rebar on an anvil I made from a section of railroad track to making knives from some of the best steel on the planet.

I make knives to be used. They won’t have a mirror finish, and the stamp I hammer into each one will never be exactly the same. There will probably be traces of beer and blood on your handle, but it’ll be sharp, it’ll be hard, and it’ll get the job done. And when it stops getting the job done, just send it back, and I’ll sharpen it for free so it can get back to work.

What started as a hobby has become something more, and I look forward to making some of the best knives you can find.
